3. About the Society

The Indian Python software Society (IPSS) is a registered society founded on 4th February 2010 for the following objectives:

  1. Promotion and development of Python programming language in India.

  2. Conduct of the Annual PyCon India conference.

  3. Working with the Python Software Foundation (PSF) and promotion of it's activities in India.

  4. Advocating and facilitating the use of Python as the primary programming language for teaching in schools, Universities and in the non formal stream.
  5. Working with and joining similar groups around the world.
