Welcome to the Board
As a new board member, there are several things you have to know about. This page summarizes the most important things.
First, it's a good idea to get acquainted with the processes we have established (and documented) over the years. Please see the processes page for details.
To get you started on the board of directors, you will need to obtain your new subscription to the board mailing list, please go to: http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/psf-board and ask to be subscribed.
- Our regular meetings are held on IRC on the #psf channel on the third Monday of each month at 12:00pm (noon) Eastern time (currently 16:00 UTC).
Bookmark the Board Agenda page that we use to plan the monthly board meetings http://wiki.python.org/psf/BoardAgenda
If you would like posting access to the PSF weblog on www.blogger.com, please send your request to B. Curtin of PSF Communications, brian@python.org
A few other tasks for the board transition are:
- Adding Google Calendar access
A wiki admin should add your wiki account to the BoardGroup page: http://wiki.python.org/psf/BoardGroup
- However, if you do not have a wiki membership account, then please follow the following instructions provided to PSF members:
Create an account on the PSF private wiki at http://wiki.python.org/psf/FrontPage?action=new account
David Goodger will authorize your account there, once you have notified him with your request, dgoodger@gmail.com
(A wiki admin should add the new member's wiki account to the "MembersGroup" page: http://wiki.python.org/psf/MembersGroup )
